When UK Atomic Energy Authority wanted to document their new solar panels on the majority of their buildings at their Culham Campus site, we were happy to oblige!
The planning involved mapping the areas of the site which needed to be captured and then coming up with areas for take-off and landing which would keep the drone within visible line of site (VLOS) at all times. We also scheduled the shoot based on what looked to be the most promising weather, and luckily it obliged.
On the shoot day we moved from site to site, with one spotter always keeping eyes on the drone and one pilot getting the required shots based on the requests of the client.
The resulting footage was used internally by UKAEA to demonstrate the successful implementation of the solar panels, and you can see a handful of the best shots in the film above.
