Each year the Marmalade Festival takes place in Oxford, UK as a partnership between the Old Fire Station and the Skoll World Forum. The aim is to help connect people from around the world with global / local, strategic / grassroots perspectives. The focus is systems change through the lens of people, power and place Themes tend to be about the big issues facing our planet: climate, social justice, big tech, colonial legacy, impact measurement, funding and power. Marmalade has become a destination event with deep local roots and a global reputation. It is a warm space for people doing good locally, nationally and internationally to share ideas and find support and encouragement.
Reach Digital Health hosted a panel featuring guests from Grand Challenges Canada, World Health Organization, Wellcome Trust and Jacaranda Health. The talk explored the undeniable interconnectedness of climate and health, the power of digital health, the critical need for accessibility, cultural relevance and breaking down silos , and the importance of community-led solutions and data.
Once again Reach invited us to film their session and create both a full-length edit of their session, and also a highlights film which you can see above.
For this we suggested a few vox pops with the guest speakers to set the scene, plus a roving camera to cover people arriving, chatting and watching the event. This was added to by our two-camera full event coverage (which we were doing anyway for the full-length event edit) to include a few key lines from the debate. The result was a great success and promoted the event and full-length edit far and wide on Reach’s website and LinkedIn.
