CLAST is a non-profit course provider of Higher Education (HE) and CPD qualifications designed for those working with animals in research, including Animal Technologists, Registered Veterinary Professionals, and Senior Researchers.
Here the assignment was to take a great deal of information and distil it down into a short, understandable film. After meeting with the trustees at one of the principal locations (the Advance Centre at MRC Harwell) we discussed the key messages and who should deliver them. We then created a shooting script to convey all this information, and lined up staff members and students to offer both information and testimonials.
We completed filming of the majority of this in a single day, plus a great deal of supporting footage showing learning in progress to illustrate the points being made.
The second component of the shoot involved a trip to Newcastle to interview the remaining key figures, and then the edit process began – whittling these many hours of footage down to what you now see here.
The resulting film was deemed to be a great success and now markets the CLAST courses on the homepage of the website.
